Story about the premiere
On Saturday, March 28th, we finally had our premiere in Tollerup!
The first cars rolled into the parking lot early as several wanted to get far in the queue to have a chance to get to their favorite pier. The longer the time went by, the more cars and eager fishermen. In the end, so many came that the parking lot was not enough, but it was resolved.
Many took the opportunity to buy membership cards before we started selling fishing licenses. Both old members and a large number of new people became members during the day, fun!
At 7.15, the card sales opened and there was a steady stream of people wanting to buy cards and fish. We managed to sell to all 54 before the clock struck 8 and it was time to start fishing. Normally, there are usually several rod bends within a few seconds, but today it took a little longer but then it came loose. Oh, how much it came loose in some parts of the lake, there were splashing fish and bent rods both to the right and left.
After about 90 minutes the fishing died down a bit and later in the day really cold winds and precipitation came. The fishing didn't really pick up again after that. There were fewer and fewer people around the lake.
This year we had nice prizes donated for the premiere and the 3 biggest (heaviest) fish had a chance to win a prize, however, you had to be there just after 4 pm when the fishing for the day ended. A few people came back to the lake just before 4 pm and they were keeping their fingers crossed that their fish would win.
The heaviest fish weighed 2,300 and the winner Vasyl chose the UL set from Sportfiskegiganten as his prize.
Dmytro, who had also reconnected, came second with 2,250 and he chose the fly rod that Bakom flotet had donated.
In third place, with 2,200, Vasyl came again. He then won a set of nice lures that had been donated by Sportfiskebolaget.
